Many people question, how much water should you drink a day? Water is vital for good health, yet requirements differ per individual. The guidelines below will make sure that you are drinking enough water every day.

Research has produced different recommendations over the years, but in honesty, your water needs vary on a lot of factors, including your health, how active you are and where you live. If a person is living in a hot climate, they are more likely to get dehydrated quicker and need more water.

Water makes up around 60 percent of your body weight. Each system in your body requires water. Water cleanses toxins from your organs, transports nutrients to your cells and provides the correct environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.

Not getting enough water will make a person dehydrated, a condition that happens when there is not enough water in the body to perform normal activities. Even mild dehydration can reduce energy and make an individual tired.

A woman living in a temperate climate needs about 9 cups of water a day, a man needs around 13 cups. Whilst everyone has heard the advice to drink eight glasses of water a day, it is something that remains popular because it is easy to remember.

When a person’s body does not have adequate water it may show signs of dark urine and not passing much every time a person goes to the toilet. A person will suffer from headaches, have lack of energy and may feel lightheaded. Therefore, drinking enough water, every day is vital for a person’s health. If a person falls ill they require water to help their condition improve. Choose healthier drinks as part of a healthy, balanced diet. There are a lot of drinks that have a high sugar content and are also high in calories. A peron who consumes a lot of calories is more likely to put on weight.
