What you’ve heard is correct. Actress Leighton Meester has agreed to pose for Max Abadian for November’s issue of UK InStyle. For those who aren’t familiar with Meester, she played Blair Waldorf from CW’s teen series Gossip Girls. Meester also appeared in a number of films between 2010 and 2012.

Although Meester is best known for her acting, she’s also had some traction as a musician. In 2012 she started touring with a folk band called Check in the Dark, and since then she’s been more or less out of the spotlight.

In 2008, Leighton was listed among People Magazine’s 100 most beautiful people as well as their 25 Beauties / Hotties list in 2011. She’s also made Maxim’s Hot 100 list no less than four times.

For the shoot Leighton will be rocking the cool and nonchalant look, dressed in colorful embellished tops and snow white fall sweaters. Her expressions in the shoot are mysterious. Some of them give the distinct impression of waiting, while others seem decidedly indecisive. Yet others are just playing it cool.

If you’re not familiar with Abadian’s style, it is definitely on display for this shoot. Abadian is a huge fan of contrast. His style tends towards black and white with the occasional splash of color to make it all more noticeable. He also works with a lot of faded colors when he isn’t doing black and white shots.

True to form, that’s exactly what you will find on display in the upcoming Meester shoot. With Abadian’s signature tendency towards gray and white and Meester’s dark hair and eye shadow there is something distinctly European about the upcoming shoot, but in a very good way.

Leighton is also set to represent NafNaf’s commercial campaign over the coming year. Unfortunately, it’s an animated campaign, so this may be the last time to spot her for some time. So if you’re a fan or admirer, make sure you pick up the upcoming copy of InStyle while you can.
