A source told us the following:
In a power outage of 48 hours or more, 21 percent of American families would prefer to pass the time with Ellen DeGeneres over other popular television talk show hosts, according to a recent GE Generator Systems survey.
September is FEMA’s National Preparedness Month, so we thought it would be fun to see how families preferred to spend their time during power outages, which often accompany emergency situations.
Jon Stewart was America’s gets second with 12 % and Rachael Ray followed with 11 %.
Other hosts receiving votes included Regis and Kelly (6 %), Stephen Colbert (5 %), Matt Lauer (4 %), Robin Roberts (2 %) and the duo of Kathie Lee and Hoda (2 %).
Our survey was conducted by Harris Interactive. A total of 2,004 American parents responded to the survey, making it statistically relevant.
