Alec Baldwin popped the question to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas this weekend. The 30 Rock star gave his fiancée, who he’s been dating since early 2011 an impressive diamond rock. Thomas, who is 26 years Baldwin’s junior was spotted in New York wearing the dazzling ring.
Alec Baldwin parted ways with fellow Hollywood superstar Kim Bassinger in 2002 after nine years of marriage. The divorce was highly acrimonious with a prolonged struggle for custody of their daughter, Ireland, who is now 16 years old. However, Ireland was ecstatic about her father’s proposal. She excitedly posted the news on her twitter page saying “Congratulations @AlecBaldwin and @hilariathomas on getting engaged!”
Alec Baldwin engaged the Mallorca born beauty after showing signs of getting serious. He moved in with her at her SoHO home in New York last August after selling his own home in the Upper West Side. Baldwin’s representative confirmed Alec Baldwin engaged Hilaria Thomas by saying that is Alec’s special way of celebrating his 54th birthday.
