The People Magazine has named Beyonce Most Beautiful Woman of 2012. The thirty year old music icon appeared on the cover of the fashion and entertainment magazine looking even more gorgeous than she already was before having her baby. Beyonce and Jay-Z got their daughter, named Ivy Blue Carter, on January 7 2012.
Beyonce seemed more content with appreciating motherhood than the accolade she had been awarded. She told The People that her sense of purpose had been renewed ever since she became a parent. “I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth”, she said.
Beyonce has joined other stars previously feted as Most Beautiful. These include Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston and 2011’s winner Jennifer Lopez. She has quickly worked her way back to her lithe body by banking on a strict diet and exercise regime. She recently went on a yoga excursion to Tuscany, Italy with friend Gwyneth Paltrow. Beyonce, one third of Destiny’s Child, is planning her first post-maternal concert this May in Atlantic City.
