According to reports by Screen Daily, Michael Fassbender could be headed for the title role of Macbeth in a new adaption of the William Shakespeare’s play. The star best famed for his role in the drama film, Shame is expected to feature alongside other stars who are yet to be disclosed.
The movie which is set on 11th century and is in the original language will be directed by Justin Kurzel. The role of Lady Macbeth is being cast and talks are underway with one or two Hollywood actresses.
The production of the film will see Michael Fassbender re-united with film4 producers Emile Sherman and Iain Canning who shot Shame. This is not the first time they have been working together as they teamed during the production of the film Hunger and the yet-to be released Frank. Whether Michael Fassbender lives up to expectations or not, we will have to wait!
