It is now confirmed that all the three installments of The Hobbit movies will be summer releases with the first film The Hobbit: Which is one that is An Unexpected Journey slated for this December 14. The second one ‘The Desolation of Smaug’ set for a December 13, 2013 and the final installment, presently under production, ‘There And Back Again’ will be released globally on July 18, 2014.
The real update here however is talks of release dates of the An Unexpected Journey Extended Edition on Blue-ray Release! Typical of Peter Jackson, the acclaimed director of The Hobbit and Lord of The Rings trilogy, he is known for making great extended version for his epic movies. According to comingsoon.net, Warner Home Video early this month released the following statement;
Whether the “erroneous mention” was intentional or not, fans have been agitating for confirmation. For legal reasons I cannot ‘confirm’ the release but I can authoritatively confirm that the there are reports from trusted sources that although Warner Bros. Home Entertainment calendar puts release of the Extended Edition at fourth quarter 2013, it could come way much earlier. How much earlier? As early as April!This is a real way that people will get to be entertained by the movie that has all the essence that comes with it.
So the cat is out of the bag, update your player for this summer’s release of the movie, shot in 3D 48 frames per second. Dont be left behind on this as its worth you. According to the-hobbit-movie.com, it will be released in High Frame Rate (HFR) 3D, IMAX, other 3D formats and also 2D. If the official trailer released is anything to go by, this is the best summer yet. Additional filming is currently taking place at Stone Street Studios in Wellington and on location in areas of New Zealand.
