‘Gossip Girl’ Leighton Meester fronts the Nelly.com Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign, saying she is flattered to be chosen. The clothes reflect youthful fun and confidence as Nelly celebrate their tenth anniversary. The collection has something for every occasion, with elegant feminine outfits, sporty numbers and party gear, and reflects the personality of the star. Many of the shots show Leighton beside a rooftop pool high over LA, looking casual and relaxed with her long brown locks flowing free, and most of the clothes are in black and white, displaying the versatility of this classic color combo.
A studded black biker jacket forms one striking poolside image. Leighton also poses beside the pool in a black jumpsuit and high heeled, open-toed bootie, with a pastel sky and LA panorama spread out behind her.
Lounging poolside in front of floating inflatable letters spelling out Nelly, Leighton wears black leggings with a baroque-style decoration and a white long-sleeved peplum blouse.
Seated on a wicker chair, Leighton wears a black-and white printed shorts and sweater outfit, with strappy black heels. Another casual combo features distressed acid wash denim shorts, with a white crop top decorated with sparse black stripes.
A couple of really feminine mini-dresses switches the mood from casual to elegant, with one gorgeous white lace number with a crystalline belt and more crystals scattered over the lace skirt. A strapless dress in an old-fashioned floral print has Leighton celebrating Nelly’s tenth anniversary by holding a cake with ten candles.
There is also a more sophisticated black peplum top and mini-skirt which highlights the star’s trim rear, and an unusual swimsuit-cum-playsuit in black. The Nordic e-trader cannily allowed let the actress to choose her own wardrobe for the Nelly.com Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign, guaranteeing they would look good on her. Leighton commented: ‘ It was a no-brainer to do this collaboration as the clothes are really flattering and things that I would wear myself.’
