Fast and Furious Star,Paul Walker is with the Angels

Headlines everywhere are announcing: Fast and the Furious Actor Paul Walker Dies in Crash. This tragic accident is eerily reminiscent of the death of Hollywood star James Dean, in 1955. Like Dean, Paul loved fast cars and competed in races. Both actors died when their Porsches crashed in California. Also like Dean, Paul had become something of a fashion icon.

Paul was returning from a Philippines fundraising event for his own charity, Reach Out Worldwide, on November 30th when the accident occurred. The car was being driven by a friend, and the vehicle collided with a tree and lamp post in Valencia, LA. By the time police arrived the Porsche was burning, and the two men were pronounced dead.

The actor, who was aged forty, was working on the seventh movie in the Fast and Furious franchise. Like James Dean, Paul started his acting career on TV before moving to the big screen. His break came when he was picked for the part of undercover agent Brian O’Conner, in 2001. The franchise became the biggest money-spinner for Universal Studios. Paul also starred in a new movie about Hurricane Katrina, called Hours, due to release later this month.

The handsome actor was the new face of Davidoff’s Cool Water for Men. This choice was partly inspired by his movie Into the Blue. Paul said he agreed because it allowed him to talk about his passion, marine biology.

Paul was also associated with the Brazilian fashion brand Colcci. He appeared on the catwalk in Sao Paulo Fahion Week, in March 2013, and fronted their Fall 2013 campaign. Around that time he was photographed posing with Victoria’s Secret Angels, Erin Heatherton and Izabel Goulart.

Fast and Furious co-star, Vin Diesel, wrote on Instagram: “Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in peace.”
