Get Fit for the New Year with H&M Sport Activewear Collection

What better time to launch some new high-fashion sportswear than just after Christmas, when we’re all heading to the gym to shed a few pounds. That’s the canny move that Swedish fashion house H&M are making, ahead of the February 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia.

H&M launches Sport Activewear line in January. The company is already in the spotlight after Czech tennis star, Tomas Berdych, wore their kit in international competition. During the 2012 Olympics, the company opened two successful sportswear stores in London, encouraging them to develop the brand.

The new lines will be for men, women and children. The clothes have been designed with the help of Swedish athletes, sportsmen and women, ensuring comfort and fit even during the most strenuous exercise.

Naturally the clothes are stylish, as well as practical. There are three different styles of sports bras, in neutral colors and hot pink. Pink is also seen in a vibrant waterproof jacket, and mixed with navy in a figure-hugging vest. Add some water-repellant pants in dark navy with a stylish pink side stripe and you could look the business. There are also neutral shades for yoga and running outfits.

For men, a grey mix jacket with matching running shorts looks stylish, especially when teamed with a yellow printed tee. Add black tights and a pair of grey running shoes with yellow laces and you are definitely well co-ordinated! All-black weather gear can be brightened up with a turquoise quilted number.

The kids are not short-changed either. They will have no excuse not to be active with smart and practical clothes for every possible outdoor activity, from soccer and tennis to athletics, as well as indoor workouts in the pool or dance class.

There will be dedicated space in H&M stores for this exciting range of sportswear, which is sure to make an impact in the New Year.
