Just Cavalli Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign is on Fire

The keynote for the Just Cavalli Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign is fire, with reference to the Burning Man festival held in the Black Rock desert, Nevada. It was actually shot in Ibiza, by Giampaolo Sgura, featuring models Samantha Gradoville and Emily DiDonato, Adrian Cardoso and Mariano Ontanon. They wear a striking collection of beach wear, underwear and eyewear in vibrant colors with a three-dimensional intensity, styled by Veronique Didry.

In one eye-catching sleeveless mini-dress, a multi-colored mix of exotic blooms flourishes against a background of purple leopard spots. In another, a profusion of yellow and red lilies spreads around a central geometric-patterned panel, with an orange and white check skirt and chic elbow-length sleeves. A very stylish dress has luscious blooms spread against a white background and banded in black, while another comes in more neutral shades of cream and brown, with a patchwork effect.

The purple leopard background is also used for a lush array of flora in red, yellow and green splashed over a loose jacket and teamed with slim check pants, spattered with fragments of the leopard pattern. A cooler look is provided by a couple of white jackets adorned with softer floral shades, such as pink, mauve and turquoise. The jungle theme continues with a bikini in turquoise, yellow and pink leopard, and an underwear set in natural-looking leopard skin with turquoise borders and straps.

For the men, the same themes predominate: brown and white snakeskin pants; black shirt strewn with bright floral motifs; waistcoat splashed with blue, yellow and green florals; black shirt with green and yellow vegetation. The predominant look in sunglasses is big green or purple mirrored lenses, with black frames.

There is more than a touch of surrealism about the Just Cavalli Spring/Summer 2014 Campaign, a dreamlike blend of flora and fauna in psychedelic hues mixed with more mundane checks and geometric patterns.
