Despite being a newly-single mother of two, it’s no surprise to see hard-working model Adriana Lima in Desigual’s 2014 Campaign. Her dusky charms beautifully showcased the vibrant colors of the Spanish brand in Barcelona, putting out the message that ‘Life is Cool’ (La Vida es Chula). The images from the collection will kickstart a TV ad campaign where the supermodel will be one of several people explaining what the slogan means to them personally.
As well as appearing on the Barcelona catwalk, Adriana posed for Miguel Reveriego wearing several mini-dresses in tropical floral prints against a black ground, showing off her long tanned legs to perfection. Stripes also featured, sometimes along with splashes of floral, or like a color chart against a white background. A red, blue and orange mini-dress in a geometric print flattered Adriana’s figure beautifully. An intriguing black V-necked mini-dress was splurged with reddish pink random patterns and white writing, with the question ‘why?’ in red on the skirt. A similar shaped black dress was strewn with large dotty circles, and another had huge floral motifs against a black and white polka dot print. A short pinkish-red quilted coat had more floral motifs in a toning shade. A silky black dress was adorned with a huge orchid-like flower in pink and yellow. A stunningly vivid dress had a green and yellow sunburst motif over the midriff, spilling into red and orange rays, with leaf-like clutches over the bust in red and orange.
Adriana’s make-up and hair was natural, and her expression happy and relaxed. Footwear consisted of high-heeled sandals in shocking pink, gold or grass green with multicolored heels, or sprinkled with sparkles. There were lots of spangly bangles, and a big black tote bag stamped with silver spotty circles that echoed some of the prints. The overall theme was upbeat, playful and fun-filled.
