Lindsay Lohan Escapes Unhurt After Crash

Lindsay Lohan had a collision with an eighteen wheeler dump truck but escaped unhurt. The actress was driving her Porsche while on her way to the set of a Lifetime film she is appearing in when the accident occurred. Although investigations are ongoing, it has been established that the Lindsay Lohan car crash occurred while she was sober. The driver of the dump truck also passed a sobriety test, according to LAPD.

Lindsay Lohan has a track record of car crashes that has mostly landed her in court. This time however, she found herself in hospital for a couple of hours. The twenty-five year old was rushed to Santa Monica’s UCLA Medical Centre for checks before being released. She immediately reported to set to continue filming “Liz and Dick”.

The Santa Monica Police spokesman, Sergeant Richard Lewis confirmed the incident to press. He said that there were no serious injuries to involved parties. “She was driving northwards on the Pacific Coast Highway and ran into a dump truck. The incident occurred at 11:30 am”, Sergeant Lewis said. He also said that Lohan was accompanied by an unidentified assistant who also escaped unhurt. He added that they were extremely lucky to be unscathed because such highway collisions “can be devastating”.

Lohan’s driving license was restored just under two years ago after it was suspended for a series of DUI’s. She still has a traffic court case pending where she has been sued for hijacking an SUV and chasing down another vehicle. Another traffic charge was dismissed due to lack of evidence just last month. In that case, Lohan was sued by a nightclub manager for reckless endangerment by claiming she hit him with her Porsche.

Eyewitness reports suggest that the vehicle was totaled with the windscreen smashed and door caved in. The airbag was also deployed. The exact cause is yet to be established but some reports are surfacing that a paparazzi vehicle was pursuing Lindsay Lohan at the time.
