Just a day after raising his worth to US $ 20 billion, Facebook founder and majority shareholder Mark Zuckerberg gained another milestone by exchanging vows with his longtime sweetheart Priscilla Chan. The social media mogul unsurprisingly broke the news to the world through his social networking site. He updated his profile to read that he is now married to Priscilla Chan.
The two have dated for over nine years since meeting at Harvard. The guests to the wedding were surprised at the ceremony since they were invited to Zuckerberg’s home to “celebrate Priscilla’s completion of her medical degree”. She left last Monday. The day also happened to be Zuckerberg’s 28th birthday.
Although it is not known whether the couple has entered into a prenuptial agreement, the internet was inundated with jokes about Chan’s supposed windfall. Caprice Crane, a renowned screenwriter tweeted:”Mark’s bride changed her relationship status to “CHA-CHING!!” Despite the speculation, Zuckerberg apparently gave Chan a very modest ruby wedding ring.
