The collection featured in the Massimo Dutti March 2014 Lookbook has all the hallmarks of this Spanish fashion brand: classy, elegant chic. Within a limited color chart of blues, browns, white and beige, this easy-to-wear collection is both eye-catching and tasteful.
Blonde French model Constance Jablonski first appears clutching a caramel leather bag and wearing a smart blue pants suit with plain white top, given an original touch with a toning patterned scarf tied around the waist. A brighter peacock blue is used for a plain silky shirt, teamed with beige pants and strappy brown sandals for a more casual look.
A beige double-breasted jacket is worn over a white top and blue pants, with caramel sandals and a matching leather tote bag. A delicate off-white long-sleeved top has a lacy yoke at the neck and a touch of drawn thread work at the wrists and hem. Another white blouse has lace-patterned, transparent sleeves.
A beige cape coat swings over a printed blouse in shades of yellow, teamed with lemon yellow pants. By way of constrast, a chestnut brown short-sleeved jacket is worn over a bright jade green v-necked blouse – one of the few really vibrant colors in this understated palette. A loose brown cardi is worn over a toning brown shirt, with shorts in brown and beige stripes.
One gorgeously feminine dress is featured, in a paisley material of soft browns, beige and turquoise, with a demure high neck, elbow-length sleeves, and mini-length skirt. Worn with sandals this could look equally right on a beach promenade or in town.
Finally, for those chillier days, a classic knitted top in shades of grey is given a lift with a bright navy and white patterned headscarf – just right for a nautical spin on a yacht, perhaps. The outfits featured in the Massimo Dutti March 2014 Lookbook would give any girl’s wardrobe a dash of versatile chic.
