The recent release of One Piece Episode 1071 has showcased the insane amount of powers a Devil Fruit can give to its users. What we are essentially talking about here is how Luffy’s new Gear 5 transformation has given him some never imagined powers that can now help him in his fight against Kaido, one of the former emperors of the sea.
However, Luffy is not the only one who has mastered the abilities of a Devil Fruit. Following is a list of characters who have managed to master their devil fruit to become a few of the strongest characters in the series.

One Piece Characters Who Have Mastered Their Devil Fruit
Devil Fruits are mainly divided into three categories, with them being Zoan, Logia and Paramecia, with each of them having way different powers than the other. It is also important to note that a single individual cannot consume more than one devil fruit, or else it will lead to their death. The only exception to this is Blackbeard, someone everybody wonders about how he was able to devour two devil fruits and live.

8. Chopper
The cute little doctor of the Straw Hat Pirates has some tricks up his sleeve too, after eating the Hito Hito no Mi fruit, this allows him to turn into not one but five different animals at his will due to his mastery of the devil fruit.
7. Crocodile
Crocodile, also known as Mr. 0, has eaten the Suna Suna no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that grants him control over sand. He has completely mastered his abilities, allowing him to manipulate sand with great precision and the ability to transform his body into sand.
6. Enel
Enel is the main protagonist of the Skypiea Arc and is known for his mastery over the Goro Goro no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that grants him control over lightning. He was one of the most formidable foes, the Straw Hat Pirates had ever faced.
5. Donquixote Doflamingo
Doflamingo possesses the Ito Ito no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that grants him the power to create and control strings. He has also managed to have complete mastery over this ability, allowing him to use his string for different purposes like controlling others like a puppet or making clones of himself.
4. Kuzan
Kuzan once held a very prominent position in the Marines and is known for his mastery of Hie Hie no Mi, which lets him control and manipulate Ice. He is also given credit for being the reason Whitebeard was not able to wipe out the Marines during the Marineford arc.

3. Kizaru
Kizaru is also one of the marine admirals in the series and is one of the strongest characters in the series. This is due to the Pika Pika no Mi fruit that grants him the ability to control light itself, which also allows him to be one of the fastest characters in the series too.
2. Edward Newgate (Whitebeard)
Whitebeard possessed the Gura Gura no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allowed him to create shockwaves. He had mastered the ability to create earthquakes, which he often used to reshape the battlefield to his advantage.

1. Akainu
Akainu has the power of Magu Magu no Mi, which grants him power over magma and is considered to be one of the most offensive and aggressive abilities out of all the other devil fruits. It is also the main reason why he was able to climb the ranks and become the fleet admiral of the Marines.
We are sure to have missed a few characters in this list who might have mastery over their devil fruits as well as other powers like Haki, but the ones on this list have earned themselves a spot by being relevant to the story or by being one of the strongest characters in the One Piece series.
