Masashi Kishimoto’s iconic Naruto series is a fan favorite of millions of people, with many having watched the anime in their childhood, the franchise has managed to have a special place in the hearts of people. The last episode sadly aired in 2017, with a sequel series called Boruto: Naruto Next Generation following soon after.
However, in a turn of events, the series is coming back with 4 fresh episodes this September to celebrate its 20th anniversary featuring the original team 7 members, which were Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, and Sakura Haruno.
Key Visual For The Upcoming Anime
The official website for the franchise has revealed a key visual for the upcoming 4-week anime haul to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Naruto. The visual features Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, and Sakura flying over the iconic Hidden Leaf Village.
The website also revealed artists for the opening and ending themes of the episode, which are the FLOW group, a Japanese music band consisting of five members known for their performance in anime like Code Geass, Naruto Shippuden, and Death Note. According to the official website, we have the following information.
- The opening theme will be FLOW’s own “GO!!!“, redone as a new, 20th-anniversary version!
- The ending theme will be a cover of ORANGE RANGE’s “Viva☆Rock“!
An Attempt To Cover Up Boruto’s Controversy?
While the majority of the fandom is glad that their favorite anime is making a return, some speculate that this might be a way for the studio and producers to cover up the Boruto Controversy over the subtle erasure of Uchiha Clan from the series and replace it with other irrelevant families like the Fuma Clan.
While it may not be clear if what is stated above is the case or not, it is still a pretty big deal for Naruto enthusiasts and fans that the anime is making a return for one final time, bringing with it nostalgia and memories once again.
