In the series, these power-granting fruits are divided into three main categories, Zoan, Logia and Paramecia.
Zoan fruits are known for granting their users the power to turn into an animal, it also grants the ability to turn into a hybrid of an animal fused with one’s species. An example of the same is king cobra Zoan allowing the user to spit globs of poison at their opponent.
Paramecia fruits on the other hand are known for giving their eater a vast array of strange abilities, such as having an extremely rubbery body and other strange powers. Blackbeard is one of the strongest foes One Piece has. It is still a wonder how he was able to consume two different Devil Fruits in the first place, being the only character alive to do so.
