One Piece is an anime known for its power system, with every character having their own unique techniques as well as abilities, it begs the question of what is the source of all this power.
To answer that very question, Eiichiro Oda’s genius mind has brought us
Devil Fruits. They are essentially different types of fruits that grant their eater a unique set of powers and abilities when consumed.
Essentially, these fruits are scattered all over the world and have nearly no limitations except the fact only a single Devil Fruit can be consumed by an individual.
Different Types Of Devil Fruits And Their Awakenings In One Piece
Devil fruits are essentially divided into three main categories, with each of them having their own kind of powers that they grant to the user. The three main types of Devil Fruits are Logia, Zoan, and Paramecia.
Logia Devil Fruit is known to grant its users the power to create, control, manipulate, and transform their bodies into natural elements. An example of this fruit includes Prince Grus, whose Gunyo Gunyo no Mi Fruits allows the user to create and control clay.
Zoan Devil Fruits on the other hand grants its consumer the ability to turn into an animal as well as fuse into a hybrid containing traits of both their own species and the animal. An example of the same is king cobra Zoan allowing the user to spit globs of poison at their opponent.
At last, we have the Paramecia-type devil fruits, these fruits grant it user a vast array of strange abilities that cannot be explained through the other two forms of the devil fruit. The most famous example of this fruit is none other than Luffy himself, who consumed the Gomu Gomu No devil fruit, which allows him to have an extremely rubbery body as well as other powers.
