“Final result exceeded our expectations”: One Piece Director Mega-Hypes Upcoming Gear 5 Episode

The wait is nearly over, millions of fans around the globe patiently hold back their excitement as One Piece Episode 1071 is finally releasing this coming Sunday, August 6th.
This particular episode brings us near the end of Wano Arc, where Luffy fights with one of the former emperors of the sea, Kaido.

The director of the One Piece anime, Tatsuya Nagamine himself, has hinted to the fans about the extraordinary efforts that have been put into making this episode special for the watchers.

What Makes One Piece Episode 1071 Special

Luffy, the main protagonist of One Piece is a widely recognised name, the character is adored by many watchers and fans always stay in wonder about what trick he has up his sleeve next.

What makes Luffy special and popular amongst watchers is his vast arsenal of techniques as well as abilities, which are all unique from each other, and adding to that is his latest Gear 5 transformation, granting him powers nobody could have imagined before.

Director Of One Piece Talks About Luffy Gear 5 Being Animated

Talking about the same, Tatsuya Nagamine, the director of the episode himself, disclosed in an interview how he was excited that it was finally coming out. He also revealed how he appreciated the efforts of Luffy’s Voice Actor, Mayumi Tanaka put while the episode was being produced. The director initially thought he would have to cut down on the amount of laughs Luffy was doing to make it a little easy, but Ms. Tanaka went above and beyond for this part, proving herself once again.

The clip shown above shows us the production process of the episode, with Nagamine ending it by appreciating everybody for the large amount of effort they have put into making and finalising the episode.
