Not only is she a super talented songstress, but a fashion idol whose impeccable tastes are beyond words. On the September issue cover of W magazine, this 26 year old Barbadian flaunts a gorgeous Meadowlark Jewellery thorn diamond set septum ring on her nose which is out of the Dynasty spring-summer 2014-2015 collection. The ring is said to have been gifted to her by Meadowlark during the shoot. There’re actually two versions of this ring; the one with diamond that she wears on the cover and one without diamonds that she’s seen wearing on an inside editorial feature.
Other than the rings, Miss Riri shows off the best of a Donna Karan NY dress, Ashley Lloyd headdress, Stephen Dweck sterling silver necklace and Amrapali diamond and ruby ear cuffs. Her stylist during the shoot was W’s fashion and style director; Edward Enniful. The photo shoot which was done by Marcus Piggott and Mert Alas took place sometime in July.
Rihanna’s piercing green eyes seem to blend exceptionally well with her glamorous tribal makeup alongside the lavish furs and heavy jewels. On the inside feature, she is seen wearing several stunning pieces that include Alexander McQueen cape, Lynn Ban choker with animal skull, Candice Angelini mask worn as a headpiece and Marc Jacobs thigh high boots. But that’s not just it. She goes further to team up with the legendary supermodels Naomi Campbell and Iman to model the new Balmain collection by Olivier Rousteing.
Even though the world may have gotten used to knowing Rihanna as the most experimental person, in this issue, W magazine introduces to the world a brand new Riri in a brand new light; a phenomenal lady who knows how to celebrate fashion, designers and divas. And judging from the cover, the September issue of W is certainly going to grab a lot of people’s attention onto the newsstands.
