People started talking about Steve Jones after he was so regardless with Rachel Crow when she left the competition,there are a lot of rumors crawling the internet.

UPDATE!
According to People Magazine:
"There have been absolutely no conversations about Steve Jones leaving The X Factor." And according to a show rep, "No discussions have been had and no decisions will be made about any contracts until the New Year." But we all know what that means.
We’ll wait and see what’s about to happen next year.
