Summer fun is what Alessandra Ambrosio brings to new Schutz’s 2015 campaign

Being no stranger to appearing in the public eye as the face of numerous campaigns, Alessandra Ambrosio has once again been chosen to be the face of Schutz Shoes for their 2015 summer holiday collection. Alessandra is a Brazilian model known for her work with Victoria’s Secret, Christian Dior and Ralph Lauren. She has also appeared in magazines such as Elle, Vogue and Marie Claire making her one of the most famous faces in modeling.


Schutz is a Brazilian store which aims to offer their customers an unforgettable experience when it comes to quality, design and freedom of expression. They aspire to make all their customers live for pleasure. Being a Brazilian based company, it is only appropriate they chose a Brazilian model to be the face of their campaign which was very successful in 2014.
The adverts were taken by photographer Gui Paganini who also photographed Alessandra for the Schultz 2014 campaign and is a world renowned photographer having working with Elle Brazil and Harper’s Bazaar magazine. Creative art director – Giovanni Bianco – is part of the Studio 65 team based in New York where he has made a name for himself serving high profile clientele including Madonna.

In the adverts, Alessandra models in racy swimsuits with focus on the latest accessories and footwear from the Schutz. The range includes colorful sandals, wedges and platform pumps. The shoes are unique in both design and color using eye popping, monochrome designs. Some of the wedges are chunky with a thick heel while others are elegant with thin straps and delicate straps. A unique pair of shoes in the campaign is the knee length gladiator boots with thin, multi-colored straps. These are especially appropriate for summer wear as they are not tight fitting so will not leave the wearer’s feet hot and stuffy. They can also been worn to the beach or by the pool as the open straps allow water to pass through. The bags are mainly large, multicolored beach bags which can be taken anywhere yet can fit a change of clothes if necessary. The use of tassels is also prominent in an attempt to bring back the old fashion trend.

The video for the advert captures the essence of summer with words such as hot hot baby’, ice’ and summer for all’ being featured. The video can be described as free yet stylish and easy going. One of the themes of the campaign is seen with the use of stripes with Alessandra wearing clothes and the statement Schultz Stripes’ is prominently displayed. The shoes and bags also feature a striped design in various colors adding to the feeling of fun and freedom.

Although the new collection is yet to be launched, there are shoes of a similar style available from the Schultz website ranging from $250 to $400.

In a move away from their 2014 summer collection, the 2015 products are full of color blocked outfits which appeal to a younger more vibrant clientele. In comparison to this year’s collection where Alessandra wore black outfits and one tone shoes, the 2015 adverts feature exciting and energizing shoes and accessories which are sure to make the campaign a success.
