Swim in the Jungle with Aguaclara

The jungle is the main influence for the Aguaclara 2014 Swimwear Collection. The luxurious Peruvian brand has jewel-bright colors and exotic prints in a riot of patterns and colors, from paisley and abstract prints to animal and tropical themes.

The Golden Amazon line features bikini, monokini and coverup in a two-tone turquoise green and gold trim. The bikini bra has gold sequins and a snakeskin print, with matching pants. Both the one-piece swimsuit and full-length coverup feature a gold-trimmed V-neck. The glamorous Selva Turquesa bandeau bikini is decorated with a triangular brooch of pink and purple jewels and matching strips on the pants.

Black and white also feature, but again with little touches of luxury. The piel halter bikini and one piece swimsuit have panels of gold snake-effect fabric and gold rings, while both Reina de la Jungla and Destellos de la Selva Animal celebrate the leopard-look in black and white. But if you crave color the Opulencia Exotica range shimmers in turquoise, pink, emerald and gold emphasised with tigerish black and gold stripes. Sirena Dorada is embellished with mermaid-like scales in turquoise and gold, while Madre Perla is adorned with button-like pearl beads.

Manto da Seda features a very feminine paisley-style print in shades of pink, turquoise and emerald. As well as swimwear this style includes a gorgeous pair of Italian silk pants in the same fabric. Another vibrant line is the Carnaval del Cusco, with bandeau and triangle tops, as well as one-piece swimsuits and bikini bottoms, their colors mirroring exotic flowers in shades of emerald green, pink and purple against a black background.

Many of the fashions in the Aguaclara 2014 Swimwear Collection are so gorgeous it seems a shame to waste them on the beach but Princesa Tribal, a shimmering cover-up in shades of black, white, blue and yellow reminiscent of sunlight spotting jungle foliage, would also serve as casual evening wear.
