Two weekends ago when “The Avengers” opened internationally, it totaled over US $ 441 million in gross sales. Few thought that it could perform any better than this in the American box office. But the film industry was amazed when the comic adaptation movie raked in US $ 200.3 million in just three days.
This is the best performing movie in history beating the record set by the last segment of the Harry Potter movies, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2”. These sums also make it the greatest overall debut. The total US $ 641 million dwarfs the previous marks set by “Iron Man 2” which has US $ 624 million.
The Avengers outstanding box office performance is the climax of years of groundwork after several teasers by Marvel Studios. The movie is based on a reunion by superheroes from “Iron Man”, “The Incredible Hulk”, “Thor” and “Captain America”. Movie lovers were so intent on watching this flick that the only problem facing studios was seating space.
In conclusion,you better see this movie because you don’t know what you are missing.The Hulk can definitely be called ‘rockstar’ because everything he does is comic and powerful!
