Diane Kruger Launches ELLE Canada’s First Ever Virtual Reality Cover

You might think that the September 2015 issue of ELLE Canada might not hold any particular significance over any other issue, but it marks their first-ever virtual reality cover story and the person this honour went to was Hollywood actress Diane Kruger.

This latest venture from ELLE has been designed to help readers further immerse themselves in the stories and quality of photography and they are now the first Canadian magazine to ever allow their readers to experience what it is like during the filming process of the magazine’s cover. Seeing it in all its 3D glory actually makes you feel as though you are on-set rather than just browsing a website.

So how did Kruger handle this unique experience? In her stride of course! The German actress is well known for hercritically acclaimed roles in the likes of Troy, National Treasure and Inglorious Basterds (where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress by the Screen Actors Guild). The actress has made a name for herself thanks to her beautiful looks, poised demeanor, smart personality and interesting career choices.

As for the ELLE cover shoot, well she should be used to this sort of experience, after all she began modeling at the tender age of 13 years old and has modeled for fashion powerhouses such as Yves Saint Laurent, Dior and Chanel, as well as being on the cover of a wide variety of fashion magazines.

What is evident from seeing Kruger and looking at her career progression is that she has the focus and determination that one associates with the German people and that has seen her through a career as a model and 34 films as an actress. Kruger seems to always be in a reflective mood when asked these questions and she stated how she feels as though she has been unusually busy, but this is not a good thing and that she has to stop and live life.

This is one actress who definitely has her head screwed on the right way. She is aware of all the pitfalls of working in a glamourised industry and admits how easy it can be to get swept away in the acting bubble. Even when she is complimented on her looks and asked how she feels about being judged in that regard she answers with honesty, announcing how it “just gets a bit boring”. In fact this led to her being questioned about her Instagram bio, where she says she has a love for peculiar people, she is then asked about whether she also sees herself as “peculiar” person. She answers as you might expect, by saying she sees herself as rather boring but her friends are the life and soul of the party.

Elle Canada couldn’t have made a better choice for their first reality cover, as Kruger encapsulates all that it is to be a modern and successful woman, she is elegant, smart and does in no way take herself seriously. Although Kruger might refer to herself as boring, if you judge someone by the company they keep then Kruger is likely going to be the person you’d gravitate to at a party. We would personally like to congratulate Diane Kruger ELLE Canada and the team behind the virtual reality shoot.
