Hugh Hefner and his girlfriend Crystal Harris seem to be out to prove to the world that age is nothing but a number with reports of their engagement once again surfacing. The Los Angeles times reports the two love buds as being engaged once again after Miss. Harris chickened out on Hefner five days to their big day last year.
Hefner who is now 86 and his bride- to- be Crystal 26, plan to tie the knot on the last day of this year. Unlike last year, the wedding is expected to be a low-key affair with only close friends and family members in attendance. The ceremony last year was expected to have a guest list of about three hundred and was expected to be quite huge.
The reason for the calling off of their engagement last year is not quite clear with both Harris and Hefner seeming to read from different scripts. According to Miss Harris, the decision to call of the engagement was mutual. Apparently, she was not at peace with the fact that Hefner has girls around him all the time and she thought it unfair to proceed with the wedding.
On his part, Hefner said through his twitter page that he had not expected any of the events that took place. He went on to add that even after Crystal had an interview to try and explain things, he was still clueless.
It goes without saying that everyone’s eyes are on these two love birds. There seems to be an element of seriousness in their relationship with Crystal’s parents having visited Hefner about a month ago.
Perhaps this time, it’s really going to happen. We wouldn’t be surprised however, if they pulled a quick one on us at the last minute. Time will tell. Hopefully though, their story will have a fairy tale ending.
