Lil Wayne has been moved out of hospital care and is improving. The Young Money CEO suffered a number of seizures and was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, last week.
Birdman, Nicki Minaj and Drake visited Lil Wayne all week, whilst he was recovering. Doctors at Cedars-Sinai moved the rapper into a regular room in the hospital on Monday. He spent nearly a week in the Intensive Care Unit of Cedars Sinai. He is now talking, walking and eating on his own. It is thought that he will be discharged from hospital at some point this week.
The episode of seizures is thought to have been caused by a drugs binge. The rapper is addicted to Purple Drank – a combination of codeine and alcohol. Lil Wayne is a New Orleans rapper, who has a history of seizures. It is reported that he suffered two, in January whilst on board an airplane. His real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, but is also known as Young Weezy.
