Mamie Gummer, Meryl Streep’s daughter has split with her husband Benjamin Walker. The pair met whilst performing in the 2008 production of ‘Les Liasons Dangereuses’ on Broadway. They fell in love and got married. The actors’ spokesperson confirmed that Mamie who is 29, has indeed split with her husband, Benjamin 30. She also said that the split is very amicable.
The couple were wed at Mamie’s parents’ property in Connecticut, where there were 150 guests. Mamie, Meryl Streep’s oldest daughter, appeared in two failed television series just recently. However, her husband has seen a lot more success.
Benjamin has recently been appearing as Brick in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”. Benjamin got into a lot of trouble when he was at college and he draws on this for character inspiration. Mamie has recently appeared in ‘Side Effects’ by Steven Soderbergh. It is very sad that the couple have only been married for two years and their marriage has ended.
