The movie trailer for Ole Bornedal’s “The Possession” has been released. Following the debut of a poster tease earlier this month, the trailer gives horror movie lovers a feel of what the flick will be like. The movie has apparently undergone several changes, not least the movie title that was originally, “The Dibbuk Box”. The changes were made so as to properly rival Paramount’s “The Devil Inside” from 2011. The release date was also delayed.
The creepy storyline will be certain to cause chills in viewers. Starring Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie (Kyra Sedgwick), it is about their daughter Em (Natasha Calis) who gets an obsession with an antique box she bought at a home sale. They later discover that the box is holds a dibbuk, a deranged spirit that controls and dwells in the beholder of the box.
The trailer leaves the audience in awkward suspense and promises a thrilling movie. How will Clyde and Stephanie save Em? “The Possession” opens in theatres on August 31.
