Trip the Light Fantastic with Armani Effeto Nudo Spring 2014

Already launched in Japan, the Giorgio Armani Effeto Nudo Spring 2014 Collection will be on everyone’s shelves by February. The nude makeup look by Linda Cantello is reminiscent of 30s Hollywood Glamor, imparting a healthy glow to the complexion. They are calling it ‘peau d’ange’ (Angel Skin) and it allows users to play with the effects of light on the skin, producing an intriguing luminescent effect by cleverly blending warm and cool shades.

The limited edition Belladonna Highlighter Palette features ‘micropearl’ technology and comes in an attractive compact imprinted with a floral image. The substance is somewhere between a cream, gel and powder, very light to wear and effective in highlighting both cheekbones and eyes with a pale creamy, rosy glow for a natural but radiant look. Beneath this is a drawer containing a handy half-moon shaped brush for touching up.

Also in the collection is Fluid Sheer Radiant Pigment, a foundation which has ‘kaleidoscopic pearls’ and can either be used by itself to sculpt the contours of the face or be blended with foundation, or used as an eye make-up base. It comes in subtle tones of pink and gold which reflect the light from different angles.

Smooth as silk pencils define the eyes in shades of navy, chestnut and brown, while there are three toning shades of lacquer and lipstick to complete the new natural look. The make-up is related to the Armani Privé show of last October, and is intended to complement the neutral, pale peachy-pink tones of the collection. However it adds a new dimension to the previous nude make-up (the Crema Nera and Maestro range) by creating an ephemeral play of light upon the skin. This new Giorgio Armani Effeto Nudo Spring 2014 Collection will certainly help you to trip the light fantastic with your own face to produce a stunning, yet natural, gleam.
